FAQ

Common questions

Product scope

Is RtspInspector a player?

No. It is a diagnostic and reporting workbench for RTSP/RTP/RTCP/H264/H265 evidence. It does not replace VLC, an NVR, or an ONVIF manager.

Licensing

How does offline licensing work?

The desktop app shows a machine fingerprint. Submit it on the license page, then import the generated license.dat inside the app.

Reports

Can I save PDF reports?

Native PDF rendering is not part of V1. Paid HTML reports include print CSS so the system print dialog can save a PDF.

Transport

Does it support RTP over UDP?

Community supports RTSP-over-TCP interleaved RTP. The $19 lifetime license unlocks live RTP/RTCP over UDP unicast receive and offline replay workflows.

Licensing

What is the difference between personal and team licenses?

The desktop capabilities are the same. Team purchase only means one billing email can receive multiple machine-bound license codes.
